Scalloped Solidago - Hand Painted
This cast was created using solidago hand picked in our Fife garden, . This cast was made using a bespoke casting frame which I designed to allow me to create an entire artwork made of plaster, with a plaster scallop frame surrounding the recessed floral imprint to create this unique cast. The plaster frame has been made using a yellow pigmented plaster and the background of the solidago has been hand painted blue. This was an experimental piece so one of a kind.
Every Imprint cast is made by hand using a unique casting technique to capture the imprint of delicate botanical forms. All our casts come ready to hang with a hanging device attached to the reverse.
Dimensions: H30cm x W20cm
Materials: 100% Plaster of Paris, handle with care but the cast can be gently sponged clean if it gets marked. Please be aware that all my casts are poured by hand so there may be some variation in the thickness of the cast.
My larger casts can be collected from my studio in Fife or Edinburgh or I can arrange to hand deliver the item to you for a small fee within Edinburgh and Fife.
