Poppy Head Roundel - Hand Painted Green
This sculptural roundelwas made using a poppy head gathered from the path to our local beach. The graceful imprint of the delicate flowers and leaves has been carefully preserved in a subtle grey clay, leaving a gentle hue on the smooth plaster surface. The background of the plaster has been carefully hand painted green.
Every Imprint cast is made by hand using a unique casting technique to capture the imprint of delicate botanical forms. Please be aware that all my casts are poured by hand so there may be some variation in the thickness of the cast.
