The Imprint bouquet

I’ve had so many people ask what I did with my own bouquet…

Well of course I had to make a cast, but I chose to make one with the bouquet of flowers I held at our legal Edinburgh ceremony a few weeks before our day in Fife. Mum made my stunning bouquet for the Fife wedding day and this beautiful posie is now drying in my studio. It was a proper stunner and was so special, mum did all the flowers for the wedding - she is a marvel!

But the more whimsical, simple bouquet I made for our Edinburgh day is now preserved in plaster to remind me of both weddings. I picked a bunch of sweetpeas, bleeding hearts and cowparsely which I tied with some velvet and linen ribbons. When it came to casting this I decided to try something different and the flowers with the ribbon, in the shape and composition of the posie I held on the day. And I love it! It’s now hanging in our bedroom so I wake up every morning and it’s the first thing I see. I’m keen to make more casts in this style for my brides - watch this space….
